You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit,
how I was sculpted from nothing into something.
Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before you,
The days of my life all prepared
before I’d even lived one day. (Psalm 139:13-16, The Message)

Father, we come before you today with heavy hearts and contrition, asking forgiveness for the sins of a nation against the most defenseless ones in all the world, the unborn. Forgive us as a nation for the callous policies which place the convenience of an uncluttered lifestyle above a human’s right to life. We ask that you’d the change hearts of those who clamor for a woman’s “right to choose” above the right of the unborn to live at all. Change our hearts, O Lord both individually and as a nation.
