A Prayer for the Nation

Father, we come before you now in prayer for our nation. We realize how far from you we’ve grown since you formed us together into a single nation over two centuries ago. We ask for your forgiveness for that drifting away. We ask that you draw us near to you again as a nation and a people.

We pray that this web site will become a gathering place for your children as we seek your guidance about new directions and ask that you guide us daily, even hourly as you build and mold this community of believers to your glory. Your will be done, Lord, in protection of life, the liberties of worship, and the love of mankind for each other. Help us to pray in earnest for our leaders and fellow citizens even when we disagree.

But most of all, we pray that your name will be glorified in our efforts here and throughout our lives as we beseech your healing for our nation.
